Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre (4th-6th)

Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre!
Who: Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who loves to sing and wants to sing with a great group of kids! Musical Theatre at Fulton Elementary is a place for students who want to express themselves through performing arts and have fun in the process. In this club, students will learn more about what it means to be in an ensemble and work with other students toward a common goal.

The Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will participate in four events during this time: the CUSD Choral Festival, a school performance, and two evening performances.
Where: Rehearsals will be held in the Fulton Music Room.
Cost: TBD
We cannot accept tax credit payments for this program. Parents are responsible for providing a costume based on the part(s) assigned to their child. Costume guidelines/ideas will be provided. Most costumes cost $40-$50.

Audition Information at Fulton
If you are a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader auditioning for a role, please see below:

You must sign-up for the Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre through Community Education BEFORE signing up for an audition. If necessary, additional slots will be added.
For the audition, please prepare the vocal audition song and audition side associated with the character you are MOST interested in playing (one per person).
Here are a few tips to help you prepare:
- Expect Your Best – Setting high standards for yourself in areas such as pitch and rhythm will help you to perform your very best.
- Be Prepared – Take the time to understand what you`re singing, know the song, and stay in character throughout
- Be Confident - Be as relaxed as possible, but demonstrate that you have stage presence, and project your voice.
- Have Fun - This whole process is about having fun, so be proud that you have had the courage to audition and be excited by the knowledge that you will be part of something special, regardless of the role you`re assigned.
Rules for Musical Theatre
Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre members and parents agree to abide by the following rules. Failure to abide may result in dismissal from the Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre.
Behavior
- Make good choices, use kind words, show respect, involve yourself (sing your very best!), care for our room.
Rehearsal and Performance Attendance
- Be on time to ALL rehearsals and performances.
- Parents should notify Mrs. Landi if their student will be absent from rehearsal (illness or family emergency). Two unexcused absences may result in removal from the performance.
Drop Off
This year, rehearsal drop off will take place at the school bus loading zone located off Iowa St.
- Please drop students off at the school bus loading zone promptly between 7:35 am – 7:40 am.
- Mrs. Landi will be in the bus loading area at 7:35 am. She will accompany the students back to her classroom at 7:40 am.
- When dropping off, please enter through the south gate, pull all the way forward (to keep the flow of traffic going), and exit through the north gate.
If you do arrive after 7:40 am, your child will go in through the front office and proceed directly to the music room. *
